Mrs. P. Thank you for your prayers and the beautiful prayer from James Smith. It appears that you have not gotten the latest report on Addison. Tuesday, while at the day care center which is located in a hospital, she stopped breathing.
The nurse on duty heard her gurgling and grabbed her and started working with her as she ran to the emergency room. The doctor on duty hooked her up to a monitor was going to send her home but Addison's father said, "no way, we have to get her to someone who can tell us what is going on," so they took her by ambulance to Texas Children Hospital.
The doctors there immediately diagnosed her problem as whooping cough. Obviously, the three prior doctors had never seen a case of whooping cough, and totally mis-diagnosed her problem. We, like most (A -meri- can)s, thought whooping cough had been eradicated, but now we are reminding that infants less than one year of age is very vulnerable to all childhood diseases. She has had her first round of DPT shots, but not enough to do her any good when exposed to the disease.
I have been reminded again that we still have mothers who do not take their children for their immunization shots, especially the illegal aliens who have flooded this country.
Addison is now home, quarantined for 14 days, and improving each day with the antibiotics.
I do believe that the many prayers that was been offered up to our Lord and Savior were heard and our baby will be well soon. Thank you and all of your Prayer Chain for those prayers, and may God bless you for your love of his creation.
Mrs. P. would you please pass this on to your list?
